To who ever can help me!

I have a slight problem.

I recently bought the clear chat pro headset and i have realized that because it is usb my logitech Z4 speakers dont wanna work when the head set is plugged in. Does any1 know if they can work both in sync or do i have to pull out the head phones every time i wanna listen to music on om speakers?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Windows does not allow headsets and speakers to work simultaneously.

You will have to stop the application (player) go to the Sounds app in Control Panel and select the new device.

Then you can start the player again to use the newly selected audio output device.

This is the way WIndows has always worked.

In Windows 7 you will be able to select the new device via the Sounds app without stopping and restarting the player app.

Hi Mike,

I tried your instructions, but it did not work for me.

I just downloaded Vista SP2, and since then the only way I can use my new Logitech speakers is if I plug the USB transmitter directly into the laptop then reboot.  Same procedure to go back to the laptop speakers.

Both sound tests I performed from the lappy audiio and with Skype worked.  But when I tried to make a call using Skype, there was no sound!!!

The USB extendor does not work.  The tech I spoke with 2 days ago said he is sending a new extendor and that I am to return the original one that I purchased.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I also have this problem.

This device is a wireless headset on my VOIP phone.  This means I have to close out my VOIP phone to use the speakers, let say to watch a video someone sent me, then I have to shut down that application and then restart my VOIP phone.

This is just not practical.  I bought the wireless device for convenience.  Nowhere on the box does it say, will not work with speakers without constantly shutting down.

I do not have Windows 7 and do not anticipate upgrading within the year.  That leaves me with either a useless wireless headset of a hobbled computer that requires constant starting an stopping of applications and switching of sound devices.
