Cordless Desktop Wave Pro support?
I would like to see this set supported on the Mac. Please enlighten me if I seem in error, but there is no obvious reason why it shouldn't be. The cordless Wave 'board is supported, as in the previous Wave Desktop set, and the MX 1100 is supported as a standalone mouse. None of these devices are Bluetooth, all using RF USB dongles instead. In spite of this, the product page only indicates Windows support. I would greatly prefer not to eat of both my notebook's USB ports to use these.
Thanks.

Re: Cordless Desktop Wave Pro support?
[ Edited ]Just to let you know, that from what I understand, the desktop set is not compatible with the LCC, that does not mean that the keyboard and mice will not work with the MAC OS X native drivers.
I am a MACINTOSH user, I love LOGITECH products and I all of my information comes from what I have learned about the products and from what TECH SUPPORT told me.

Re: Cordless Desktop Wave Pro support?
[ Edited ]I can clearly see that the Mac logo is not associated with the product. My point was that the individual pieces, including the 2.4 GHz receiver with the standalone MX 1100, are supported. I am sure I'm not the only person who finds this a glaring omission.
Obviously the firmware for the combo receiver would not be exactly the same as any of the others, but I cannot imagine that it would have been any monumental effort to produce. I would have been first in line to buy one of these sets had the small investment necessary to support the Mac OS been made.

And just to let you know, I am going off what a customer service rep told me, so you would have to talk to them.
I have been wrong and I type that way to put being attection to CERTIAN WORDS.

Re: Cordless Desktop Wave Pro support?
I just posted this question in another thread before I found this one.
I'm looking for a new mouse keyboard combo. My MX 700 duo is biting the dust so its been a while since I last took a look at Logitech and I am finding they really do not have a good combo for Mac users. Seems to me they simply do not care about us. We are most likely not enough of a financial base to really pursue.
Does anyone know of another manufacturer making a good keyboard/mouse combo?

Re: Cordless Desktop Wave Pro support?
[ Edited ]I bought this keyboard last night only to find that over half of the media keys will not work with the latest LCC. LCC was not even found on the driver CD that it shipped with.
I wonder if there are any 3rd party apps that allow you to map the keys.....
Here is a list of all keys that do not work.
Switch Application - (I tried making it use expose and also tried to make it issue a keyboard shortcut command-tab
Pictures button - I cannot for the life of me get this button to launch iPhoto
Media Center - This will not launch front row by executing the keyboard shortcut command - escape. It also will not launch the application using the app launcher option.
Fn-F1 will not launch Word (or any other app)
Fn-F2 will not launch Excell (or any other app)
Fn-F3 will not launch iCal (or any other app)
Fn-F8 will not launch Adium (or any other app)
Fn-F10 will not launch my browser search (or any other app)
Fn-F11 does not seem to be settable in the device manager
Fn-F12 will not eject my CD or launch any apps
These are the only keys that I am having problems with however as you can see it is the majority of the keys on the keyboard.

Re: Cordless Desktop Wave Pro support?
[ Edited ]I have tried all sorts of possible solutions such as using the following apps
QuickKeys
Keyboard Maestro
OS X Shortcut System Prefs
It seems like none of these apps see the keypress event when I push the keys. Not even WhatPule a key counting application sees it as a keypress.

Re: Cordless Desktop Wave Pro support?
Is there any change to this posting.
This is an excellent set, (Wave Pro) and is mostly likely the best keyboard mouse combo available, but no mac support.
Logitech - Please fix this discrepancy.
