Video Chat Applications (Non Logitech)

I've found that video freezes intermittently on Snow Leopard 10.6.1 with my new Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac. When it freezes, if I go into iChat preferences and select the internal iSight and then

switch back to the QuickCam, the video returns. I've never had this freezing issue with the built=in iSight, but I want to use an external

monitor so I need an external cam.

I've experienced this on a MacBook Pro and MacBook Air both running 10.6.1.

Has anyone else experienced this problem ? Is it an issue with the Mac universal driver ?

Hi,

I use this webcam too, with snow leopard 10.6.2.

I have some freeze after only 10-15 seconds on ichat. I have test to plug it directly into my usb2 port, but it's the same.

My computer is : Macbook Pro 2,33.

Do you know what is the problem ?

Hi KachiWachi,

thank you for your answer but I have not find the answer at my problem.

I have buy this camera for use with ichat, and on this time, i can't use with this software :-(

after only a few seconds, the image freeze.

what I must to do for use it on continues (without freeze) ?

Hi,

I have more precions to give you. I have continuous my tests, and in ichat, when I test this webcam 'alone', I have not problems, but... when I want to talk during a conversation, my screen freeze.

I have some freezes in Photo Booth too.

PS : I have check your link and everything is ok inside my configuration. This webcam works perfectly with skype, but I want use it with Ichat (it's the reason why i want buy This webcam).

PS : I use Snow leopard 10.6.2

Are any other Enhanced USB 2.0 devices currently installed/attached to your Mac?
