Squeezebox Duet - set up looks good but no sound?????
I have gone through the set up process on a number of occasions now and end up with the same result, that is;
1/ Squeezebox server running ok & library up to date
2/ Controller & receiver connected to network - my music library visible on the controller
3/ Apparently playing music - LED scree with indication of a track playing & bright white light on receiver....but
No sound at all!
Very frustrating, can anyone offer any pointers?
Cheers!

Try opening port 9000 TCP on your router. While you're on it, open 3483 TCP and 3483 UDP as well, sometimes they cause problems.
Good luck ![]()

Re: Squeezebox Duet - set up looks good but no sound?????
Which output on the squeezebox are you using (analog, digital-coax, or optical)? If the led is lighting up in a bright white, then I'd have to say your receiver is not set to the correct input type. For example, on my receiver, the CD input (which is where I have the squeezebox) can utilize a digital-coax, optical or analog input connection, but if it is not set to auto-detect mode, you have to manually select which one of these the CD input will be using.

Re: Squeezebox Duet - set up looks good but no sound?????
Andy1965,
I had the same problem. I emailed via the "Contact Us"support page and the guy suggested holding down the button on the front of the receiver for 5 seconds - it worked perfectly for me after that. 5 seconds will give a "fast" red light blink (I think 3 sends is a "slow" red blink and is NOT the same. He said that it would reset the audio chip. His response ("Blair H" is the persons name) is shown below;
"I would be happy to assist you with your issue. Have you done a reset on the receiver itself by holding down the button on the front for five seconds until it flashes red quickly? This resets the audio chip in the receiver.........?"
Hope it's not too late for you, see that your problem was a while ago. I thought I'd still post as this was one of only a few posts I could find that describe the problem - someone might find it useful in the future!!

Re: Squeezebox Duet - set up looks good but no sound?????
THanks. That worked for me too. The music had just stopped, but all systems looked fine and I was seeing the buffeing info and I could connect to my router. I was ready to put it in the box and take it back t the store. It was not the middle button that worked for me, it was the power button, which I held down until I saw 'goodbye' I wonder if unplugging would have done the same thing. I sure hope it does not do this all the time, if so, well, that would be bad.
