C++ Runtime error

I have been trying to install the IO2 software, but keep running in to a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. I've tried installing from the CD and from the download. I've tried a clean boot. Still no resolution. Customer support says that they have never heard of the problem and to call Microsoft.
Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?
Thanks,

I had the same issue at a customer. I also haven't been able to resolve the issue. Any further assistance would be appreciated.

I am getting the same error message trying to install Quickcam 11.5:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\ ...

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

It came down to shutting off my anti-virus while installing. Webcam works perfectly now. (I had hesitated doing that the first few times because it has a firewall as well and with broadband, I don't like doing that, even for a few minutes. So it was a risk I figured I'd take by shutting the modem off).
It should work fine for you shutting AV off.

JettCruz,
Did you try downloading the latest software, version 11.5?
